Stripe Setup Guide
Professional payment processing for your online business
Stripe is the gold standard for online payments. Used by millions of businesses, it's secure, reliable, and professional. Processing fee: 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction.
Step 1: Create Your Stripe Account
1 Go to stripe.com
2 Click "Start now" or "Create account"
3 Enter your email and create a password
4 Verify your email address
Step 2: Activate Your Account
1 From the Dashboard, click "Activate your account"
2 Fill in your business details:
- Business type (Individual/Sole Proprietor is fine for most)
- Legal business name
- Your personal information (for verification)
- Business address
- Industry type
3 Add your bank account for payouts
4 Submit for verification (usually instant)
Step 3: Create Payment Links
1 In your Dashboard, go to Payment Links
2 Click + New
3 Add your product or service:
- Name
- Price (one-time or recurring)
- Image (optional)
- Description (optional)
4 Configure options:
- Allow customers to adjust quantity?
- Collect shipping address?
- Collect phone number?
5 Click Create link
6 Copy the link - this goes on your website!
Once you've created your payment links, send me:
• The payment link URL(s)
• What button text you want (e.g., "Pay Now", "Subscribe", "Book Appointment")
Step 4: Customize Your Checkout (Optional)
1 Go to Settings → Branding
2 Upload your logo
3 Choose your brand colors
4 This makes your checkout page match your website!

Invoicing
Send professional invoices: Dashboard → Invoices → Create Invoice
Subscriptions
Set up recurring payments for memberships or services: Products → Create Product → Recurring
Buy Buttons
